About
Born Nomad
Born Nomad is a project initiated by the U.S. Diplomatic Mission to Kazakhstan on 21 June 2021 to empower women's entrepreneurship, promote traditional crafts in foreign markets and preserve cultural heritage through the development of the creative industries.
Nomad means freedom
Nomads were always on the move: they developed their crafts, gathered knowledge, exchanged experience and created their own. All of this has stayed with us despite the speed of time. Born Nomad was born to bring together the knowledge of Kazakhstan's artisans, share their work at home and abroad, help them build commercial ties and revive interest in traditional crafts and cultural heritage.
Goals
